This course is aimed at people with little or no digital photography experience, by the end of this short 3-4 hour taster session you will be able to use a digital camera, know how to download photographs to a computer, be able to manipulate them using free software and produce a video of what has been achieved.

We will teach you how to locate and organise all the photos on your computer and how to edit and add effects to your photos with just a few clicks of the button to create some stunning pictures. Windows Live Movie Maker enables you to create home movies and slide shows on your computer, complete with professional looking titles, transitions, effects, music and even narration. We will teach you how to bring your movies to life using photographs, vidoes, sounds, music and transitions. Showing you how to publish a movie to your computer and to share it online using facilities such as You Tube or Facebook to share moments with friends and family. |
From this session we will:
- Give you an overview of using a digital camera
- Let you loose with some equipment or use your own to take a variety of photographs using different styles and options
- View what you’ve taken, remove any your not keen on and save the rest
- Look at how we can improve the photographs and things to consider, such as file sizes and pixilation
- Introduce you to free photo editing software in which you can manipulate your digital pictures
- Introduce you to free video making software, where you can really make your pictures come to life
- Show you how to share photographs and videos online
